Minibolt Program Overview for Parents
November 4, 2010 by adminRecreation Program
MINIBOLTS is the developmental program the club offers. We offer a Spring & Fall League. The League is six (6) weeks long and all games are played in Great Falls. No scores are kept, no tournament is played and no league champion is crowned. The vehicle we use to introduce new players to the game and to develop the skill of other players is the small sided game program, as recommended by the United States Soccer Federation. The program encourages teaching young players the sport through the use of games utilizing smaller teams and a smaller playing area. A player’s first soccer experience should be positive. Having FUN is emphasized, and competitive pressures are discouraged.Looking for players U4 – U14 (birth date between Aug 1, 1996 and July 31, 2006)
• Provides a positive experience without all the competitive pressure.
• No scores are kept, no tournament, and no league champion.
• Convenient – no travel and games on Sundays.
• Encourages teaching young players the sport.
• Smaller teams and a smaller playing area.
• Young players more involved in the game.
• Develops skills of those who have played before.
• Whether a seasoned player or brand new to the game, your child will discover new levels of skill and activity that will help prepare him or her for a lifetime of success.
